Former New York Times director Samantha Adams joins illuma

illuma is happy to announce that Samantha Adams has joined the company as Sales Director for EMEA. Sam joins us from the New York Times, where she acted as Regional Director. In her previous role, she oversaw all of the Times’ luxury and B2C advertising, across the UK and Northern Europe.

As Sales Director, Sam’s role will be to manage and grow illuma’s relationships with advertisers, building partnerships with leading brands across EMEA. She will report to Duncan Arthur, illuma’s Managing Director, in London.

Samantha Adams, Sales Director EMEA for illuma said: “I’m happy to join illuma, especially at a time when there is a clear growing appetite across the market for contextual advertising. Just last week, we saw a report from IPG showing that contextually targeted ads can increase purchase intent upwards of 60%."
